Pirate Pak Day

Today is Pirate Pak Day…and it isn’t just for kids!

 

For every Pirate Pak White Spot sells, $2 will go to the Zajac Ranch for Children – a BC based summer camp that brings joy to children with serious medical conditions.

 

Raising money for Oceanside hospice Society

Out clients are at it again!  Fundraising for the Qualicum Beach Oceanside hospice Society.
The Travel Group has donated a suitcase door prices with trinkets for the silent auction to help them reach their goal.

Southern Alberta has been hard hit by disastrous flooding

In last weeks flooding hundreds of homes and businesses have been severely damaged or completely destroyed. The heartbreak and financial hardship this is causing to so many Albertans right now is beyond belief.

Every little bit helps and this week for our Friday Wine Down we will be taking all donation and sending them to the Red Cross Alberta Floods Fund.

Longest Day of the Year Fundraiser - 5th Annual

The sun shone on us again this year. We were blessed and know that one day we won't be so lucky with the weather.

A new exciting venue was picked, mainly because of the insane parking prices last year. We set up for our 5th Annual Longest Day Fundraiser on the lovely Iona Jetty, Richmond. We picked this location, because of the view of open ocean. Which you can see from the beach as well as the 4km Jetty. Amazing bird life all around, dogs are welcome and free parking !

Unfortunaly this year Marie from Insight toWellness was not able to give us our pre-race stretch, but we hope she will be able to join us next year.

It was the longest walk event we've done at 5 km

 

This year we had the most consistence enter for Sexy Shorts!

Air Canada introduces new menus

Golf Tournament for Mesothelioma

Our clients are at it again! 

The BCICA (British Columbia Insulation Contractors Association) 6^th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on May 31st 2013. The Travel Group does not have any avid golfers to put up to the golfing challenge so we support with a door prize of a suitcase full of trinkets for the silent auction.

Last year the event raised more than $41,000 and a presentation of $100,000 was made to the BC Cancer Control Agency. The $100,00 will fund an early Pre-Screening CT Scan Study. It is hoped that pre-screening will lead to earlier discovery and provide better treatment options to those at risk of developing Mesothelioma.
